Stockholm Syndrome Lyrics

Who's that shadow holding me hostage I've been here for days
Who's this whisper telling me that I'm never gonna get away
I know they'll be coming to find me soon
But I fear I'm getting used to being held by you

Baby look what you've done to...

The meaning behind the song is that the person fell in love with someone they expected not to. Stockholm Syndrome is used as a metaphor. It’s an amazing song.

I looked up Stockholm Syndrome and it said to have feeling's or affection for someone who has kidnapped you or is holding you hostage.I think the interpretation of this song is how you are kidnapped and the person who is holding you hostage is someone who you fell in love with.Honestly this a the best song I have ever heard in my life NAD best song I have ever listened too.

I think it's about a boy that's falling head over heels but she just keeps pushing him back and she is hurting him but the more she hurts him the more he falls.

I think its about how modest was holding them hostage. Harry and louis love eachother and want to be free but they can't. Theyve gotten used to keeping it all in and not telling people.

This interpretation has been marked as poor. view anyway

I think yes technically they're are talking about the actual mental disorder stickholm syndrome, but I also think it has a double meaning. Maybe Louis and Harry feel like their is no chance i fighting anymore to be free so they've accepted the fact thath they are never getting away from it. Or I don't know maybe they just wanted to try their hand at writing fanfiction.

Stockholm Syndrome i n itself means felling sympathy or affection towards you kidnapper in a hostage situation. However i think in this instance it is about them in the band and how they feel trapped and can't get out but at the same time they love being in the band and the idea of it.

Stockholm Syndrome means someone getting kidnapped and falling in love with their keeper. And in this situation I think that this guy is falling in love with his keeper.

Its about how he had gotten kidnapped and over time he has gotten used to being held hostage like in the first few lines "who's that shadow holding me hostage I've been here for days" saying that he has been there for more than a day "who's this whisper telling me that I'm never gonna get away" saying that the kidnapper is telling him to lose all hope and forget all about that no one will come and rescue him "I know they'll be coming to find me soon" so he isn't gonna lose his hope of being found "but I fear I getting used to you beging held by you" he is getting comfortable and starting developmening feeling for her/him "baby look what you've to me baby look what you've now baby I can't leave if you keep holding that way" he wants to leave but can't then in the 2 verse Louis just describes the human and yeah that's what this song means.
Alot of people think its a love song but do they even care about reading in between the lines I mean one direction took sad and heartbreaking words and turned them into lyrics that people would think ots a love song but its not.

Basically, This is like, a fan fiction I read. Don't wanna do publicity here, So it's like, You DONT care who and what these boys are, and you kidnap them, for some kidnapping gang purposes...you know...and the guys, feel for you,in this they don't mention that you are beautiful, insecure, sexy, so they fell for you! NO! The way you treat them, even you MIGHT have some feelings, maybe, made them feel good.....so....they are just meaing that, although they are kidnapped, they are having a great company!

It's about Larry Stylinson and how Modest is keeping them hostage. They got "used" to it, and "don't" mind it anymore.

In my opinion this song is trying to say how they are acting towards that girl in a way a man who is in love will but he never meant for it to lead to anything. Maybe they were put to date as a arranged relationship and along the way he fell for her but people will find out it was all fake at first but isn't now.

in my opinion, I think it's about how he is stuck in this relationship but not physically. He has changed in this relationship and he is asking "who' that man, who's holding your hand and talking 'bout your eyes?" and they also say "used to sing about being free but now he's changed his mind." originally he wanted to leave, but maybe she didn't want him to, so blackmailed or did something to make him stay and even though he's changed as a person in this relationship he is somehow still drawn to her, but he knows that at some point his mates/family will find out what's been happening and help him get out of this situation and he'll get part of who he used to be back. x
