Skillet: Burn It Down Meaning
Burn It Down Lyrics
Do you ever wish that you weren't a prisoner?
Do you feel like you're done?
All the dreams you had are hard to remember
Well, you're not the only one
Well it's over, it's over, it's over
I won't be pushed around
Move...

What it means:
We all can feel imprisoned by our circumstances choices and/or the choices of others. Addictions, bitternesses, a dead end job that is killing you inside because it’s not what you love….
And finally I got fed up with the same rigamaroll—I was being tempted and I had given in and was heading down a bad spiral: in comes Skillet and all their main songs to be used by God to get me out of that cycle.
So, I joined them and many others I’m sure. *I burned it down*. And I do this daily. It’s called being honest w self and God. Repentance is a sweet thing. -
