Epiphany Lyrics

Your words to me just a whisper

Your face is so unclear

I try to pay attention

Your words just disappear

Cuz it's always raining in my head
Forget all the things I should have said

So I speak to you in riddles
Cuz my words get...

An epiphany is an experience of sudden and striking realization, in other words he suddenly realized that he didn't have the emotional support or attention in his upbringing that was needed for him to become a fully functioning and thriving adult. Your words to me just a whisper your face is so unclear i try to pay attention but the words just disappear. When there is no emotion present you are numb or mainly on auto pilot, you are physically there but mentally and emotionally you are else where. The chorus is when he realized he didn't receive any emotional intelligence growing up and when you don't understand what your feeling it's a foreign language. When you want to tell someone how you feel but what you're thinking can not be put into words you just forget about it as to not get frustrated.

The meaning to him being a little boy inside is he tried everything for his parents to pay attention to him so he acted out and did what ever it took to get attention even though it was negative he was finally being stimulated. He loved his parents so much but he didn't know how to show them thats why he wants to dig a little hole in her precious heart cuz he has a longing to be close to her but she won't let him get too close. He talks to his parents like he used to when he was a child cuz thats the only what he knows how and even though he didn't get the emotional intelligence from his parents, they still taught him right from wrong and how to make decisions that don't involve feeling. I know ill do the right thing if the right thing isn't feel. He doesn't know how to feel so he can't make the right decisions where there is feeling needed. Emotional neglect is no joke so when your an adult and have the epiphany that you were emotionally neglected and not knowing how to feel you can't wrap your mind around you feel about it. Its there you just can't. reach it

I kinda realate to this song, "It's always rainning in my head" I always think of something 24 hours(now that could be normal, but oh well)"I talk to you like children". I say the words "poop" or "pee" inapropriately(note, I'm 12! That's words meant for 5 year olds),"I want attension, yet I always try to hide" I post like one video in YT, then like a bgillion months pass by and I upload 3-4 videos. And also, I love my family(the floor is floor)yet I go into a room alone with my phone playing games and watching videos. I know that's wrong, but I do anyways "I try to pay attension, but your words always dissaper" when I'm at school, I look around the classroom not paying attension to anything/one. And I am now admitting to it by saying "sorry, I wasn't paying attension", now I'm not saying "oh look at me, a DANSIL IN DESTRESS, ooooh. Feed me grapes and tell me a fairytale!". What I'm saying is I realate to this song.(adbrupt ending joke insert here)

what about "It's always raining in my head" verse movebymusic? Maybe he is in misery from the neglect meant of not knowing how to feel, or he also has ADD from getting all the noises in his head?

the top interpretation feels like it's the most deep, I am feeling very emotional now thinking of the parents interprotation,"It's always raining in my head, I try to collect the things I should've said!"

Depression and/add for sure. "Raining" in your head perfectly describes the constant "noise" in your head that makes other people's faces and words fade away or disappear

this song has totally affected my life since the first time i heard it, it definitly is THE best song aaron lewis has written, ironicaly, he claims he still doesnt know what this song is about.. well to break my explanation down verse by verse: verse one is about when that "one" person talks to you, and how you arent concentrating on what they're saying or what the look on their face is like, all you can focus on is THEM. the chorus is about how you feel miserable, and there are so many things you wish you could have said to them, but you just ignore them. the second verse is about how you want to admit to them how you feel, but you just cant, and you want to claim your place (And dig myself a little hole/inside your precious heart). the last verse is about how they want more attention, and they think they can do better if the better thing will come to them first

After losing my mother 2 months ago this songs speaks volumes to me. There are so many things I wish I would have said. And sadly as time passes on her voice is a whisper and her face is unclear. Although I am a female I still relate to the little boy begging for attention.

I think the lyrics of the famous song "Epiphany" performed by the band "Staind" is about deep, and severe depression; also the fact that the person has had a bad life and had been rejected a lot. The lyrics "it's always raining in my head" shows signs of depressions of the singer. and the lyrics "little boy inside, that cries out for attention" shows he hasn't had much attention given to him in life.
