I think it's about a relationship that everyone says isn't right when it really is. It's about stay with the person whose meant for you no matter what others throw at you.

This song is about her and a guy being in love, when everyone dissapproves, but they don't care because they love eachother. "Seems like there's always someone who dissaproves" means that wherever they go it seems as if people are against them being together. "So dont you worry your pretty little mind, people throw rocks at things that shine and life makes love look hard" means that people are putting them down but it's only because they have such a great relationship and others dont want them to be together. "And it's not their's to speculate if it's wrong",is saying that even if it were wrong, it's not other's place to judge because it's their relaationship. And even though he's a little rough around the edges she belongs with him.( "and your hands are tough but they are where mine belong"). When she says "Never know what people have up their sleeves, ghosts from your past gonna jump out at me" She means that people might try to tell her about things he's done in the past to try to break them apart. But she reassures him that it doesn't matter by saying "But I don't care; cause right now your mine" The lyric "But they can't take what's ours" means that no matter how much people judge and tell them they can't be together or try to break them up they can't because it's their relationship and they really love eachother so what others think is unimportant.

i think this song is about a love between two that no one approves of, they dont even give the couple a chance, and if they did they would understand but these two ignored what the people said and love kept them together.

Ours is a song about two people falling in love, but someone else doesnt want them together. The song is sweet, cute, with a really simple, relatable point to it. No matter what happens, no matter who your going to date, there's always gonna be someone who disapproves, but you should follow your heart and dont listen to that person if he's what you really want, that's the overall message of this song. The moral would be to listen to what you want to do and don't let other people try and change it.

I think she's trying to say that people are going to doubt your relationship, but in the end, the only opinion that matters is you and your partner's. Cause she's right, the love is both of theirs and no one else's. Love can be surprising <3.

It couldn't be about Toby Hemingway because they didn't meet until after the CD was out. They met around the time they filmed the music video for "Mine" So i'm thinking John Mayer or that guy from Glee!
