Taylor has been fascinated with the Kennedy family for a long time. After meeting Rory Kennedy (Robert & Ethel's daughter) at a concert she met with Ethel. She was so fascinated by her! They became friends and Taylor even went to the showing of the documenrty "Ethel" at the Sundance Film Festival in 2012. Taylor wrote this song for Ethel.

I met bobby on the boardwalk summer of '85... Robert Kennedy was known as Bobby.

Have 10 kids and teach them how to dream... Bobby and Ethel had 10 kids when he was shot and killed. At this time Ethel was pregnant with their 11th child, Rory.

If you haven't seen the documentary.. You should. After watching it you see why Taylor was so facinated by Ethel Kennedy.

Taylor saw an old photograph of Ethel and Bobby Kennedy and she wondered about what it would've been like to be young and free in 1945. So she wrote this song about what their night would've been like.
