"So Close"

I've spent so much time throwing rocks at your window

I've spent so much time throwing rocks at your window
That I never even knocked on the front door

**Ok, this part is obvious. She obviously wants the attention of someone, but instead of directly confronting him she chooses to try to get his attention otherwise, probably in a less obvious manner.**

I walk by statues never even made one chip
but if i could leave a mark on the monument of the heart
I just might lay myself down for a little more than I had the last day

**Here she is talking about how her life doesn't really effect time itself, but if she could leave an effect on the heart of the people she loves (maybe even someone in particular) and maybe even her fans that she will be content and give herself time to rest.**

Wait a time to spare these lies we tell ourselves
These days have come and gone
But this time is sweeter than honey

**Here she is pretty much saying there is a time to stop lying to one's self. Days are coming and going and the time we have here is precious.**
