Teddy Bear Lyrics
With cotton and feather
Gave you love, put my heart inside you
Oh what could I do
When you started talking in your sleep
Saying things you'd do to me
I didn't care
I wasn't scared
Now I'm finding knives...

Crybaby is in an abusive relationship with the same boy from "Pacify Her", "Playdate", "Training Wheels" and later on "Cake". She helped through the stuff that happened before and during "Training Wheels" and now she is getting abused by him. In the song she sings "When you started talking in your sleep/Saying things you'd do to me/I didn't care/I wasn't Scared/Now I'm finding knives" Which means that at first Crybaby wasn't scared, until she realized that her boy friend wanted to kill her.

I interpreted that the song is about toxic/abusive relationships as one of the lyrics 'How did love become so violent?'
Another lyric 'Everything was so sweet till you tried to kill me.' This expresses that the abuser used to be 'nice' and that he tricked her that he was 'charming and caring' but in reality he just tricked her so it would be harder for her to leave. 'Till you tried to kill me' shows that he abused her so much, it came to a point where he was trying to kill her. The song is called teddy bear as the abuser was 'caring and loving' and his soft hugs were like a teddy bear used as a metaphor.

I think the song is about a abuser and melanie/crybaby. The lyric "Everything was so sweet until you tried to kill me" is about how he abused her from the start (aka when training wheels was a thing) in training wheels the lyric "call me f**king dumb for the stupid s**t I do" is how he didn't care for her when training wheels was a song. So in pity party book thing "she invited him and all her friends" him was probably the guy in training wheels. (This is just my theory)

Crybaby thought she found the one till she sees all the stuff hes done but thinks its a joke and goes on with it till it reaches him wanting to kill crybaby.

i think the song is about crybaby thinking that her relationship with a guy is wholesome and sweet, but then he starts acting weird. she brushes it off and doesnt care, meanwhile he starts acting weirder to the point where he turns violent. she kicks him out of the house, thinking shes okay, but he returns and tries to kill her :)

In my opinion, this song is just about betrayal. Probably about a former lover, who betrayed them and became abusive., hence the lyric: “Why did love become so violent”
Also, i feel like she used the teddy bear theme for 2 reasons.
1, Teddy bear is a cute nickname to give a lover
2, A teddy bear would be a nice gift to receive from such lover.

This song is about domestic violence. The teddy bear is the boyfriend. At the beginning he is sweet and comforting, then he starts talking in his sleep, saying what he'd do to CryBaby. She wasn't scared. Then she broke up with him because he was creepy, and he started breaking in her house and calling her breathing in the phone. She was "fucking scared" I assume he killed her.

In my opinion, her "boyfriend" is the "teddy bear" and "everything was so sweet until you tried to kill me" in this line she is stating that her "boyfriend" is abusive and is trying to kill her.

Crybaby's ex-boyfriend used to be comforting and quiet, but now he's anything but. Crybaby is terrified of him, as he keeps trying to kill her.
The whole song is Crybaby asking him why he's doing this, and begging him to stop.

The girl meets a boy who she falls in love with and she took him under her wing and everything was sweet but then he became abusive and evil, and he tried to kill her.

In this song,i feel like the guy crybaby dated was phsychotic and tried to kill her.She found him broken (probably from a past relationship) she helps him heal then gives him all her love (which he obviously clings onto). The guy then decides that if a lot of guys want her,he will have to kill her because if he cannot have her, then no one can. When she hears him talking in his sleep about wanting to kill her,she gets scared and decides to leave him.But then he comes back THREATENING to kill her if she does not take him back.
Well that is what i think so yeah..dont judge

I believe the 'teddy bear' is the same guy from the last song (play date). At first the two are in a relationship driven entirely by sex and Crybaby wants to change that. This offends the gug which makes him feel pressured so he leaves then Crybaby finds him and tries to latch things up, this is where the relationship mentioned in this song come into place. After a while with the guy, Crybaby picks up on the fact that the guy is still really crazy and mad at her suggestions to a real relationship and this scares Crybaby so she leaves. Thanks for reading Bye!
At first, Crybaby found the teddy bear, possibly alone, heartbroken, and torn-apart. She took him under her wing and gave him love and comfort. When she noticed him doing weird things, she brushed it off, and thought of it as no big deal, probably, simply because she didn't want to believe that what he was doing was real, and didn't expect it from him. (not really that she didn't want to handle it) But, he leaves behind clues that gets Crybaby's attention, and the truth is so shocking that she doesn't know how to handle it and she is "unprepared". Soon, the relationship evolves into a violent and abusive one. Then, she threw him out, not that her toy got old, but instead, it was acting new and different. Also, he might have been like so the whole time, simply hiding his true self through a teddy-bear façade, making her think he is comfy and nurturing and wouldn't do anything bad. Maybe she let in someone who was not very good and changed him but then returned to his "evil" self. I dunno..
